CK School wins National Blue Ribbon Award Today, the U.S. Department of Education announced that Christ the King School has been named a National Blue Ribbon School, recognizing it as one of the best places to get an education in the nation. This recognition has only been awarded to 297 schools across the United States, just 17 in Illinois and the ONLY catholic school in the state.

Sing to the Lord! The CK choir will return this fall, with the first rehearsal on Sept 15th at 7:30pm in the Gleeson Center. There is no audition for membership and ability to read music, while an asset, is not required. Choir is an important way to minister to the parish and a great opportunity to meet new people. Usborne Books & More Pop Up A representative from Usborne Books & More will be hosting a pop up sale after our 9am and 11am Sunday masses on August 28th. It’s a great opportunity to start the school year off right, so stop by the tables in the back of church to check out the selection!
Summer Fun Items Needed Christ the King's Domestic Violence Ministry is collecting summer fun items to donate to the Crisis Center of South Suburbia. Bins are in the back of church through July 31st. Suggested items include sidewalk chalk, freeze pops, crafts and playground balls.
Volunteer Opportunity CK’s Fiat Lux group will be helping out at Our Lady of the Angels Food Pantry on Tuesday August 2nd. A carpool from the rectory will leave at 6:30am and return around noon. Please join us if you’re available!
Women in Ministry Mass All readers, eucharistic ministers, altar servers, readers, ushers and our guest reflectionist will be women at the 9am mass on Sunday, July 17th.
