Christ the King Parish is thoughtfully and prayerfully engaged in developing a comprehensive plan to identify and welcome our next Music Director. This is an important leadership position in our parish community, and we are approaching the search with care and collaboration. Working closely with the Christ the King Pastoral Council, school leadership, community music directors, and others with expertise in liturgical and choral music, we are striving to find a candidate who shares our vision for a vibrant, faith-filled, and inclusive music program.
Our goal is to identify a Music Director who will help create a mission and vision statement for the Music Ministry at Christ the King—one that recognizes music as a sacred means of glorifying God and deepening the spiritual participation of all who worship with us. The Music Director will be responsible for leading music at weekend Masses, holy day liturgies, weddings, and funerals, as well as for directing and nurturing the adult choir. In addition, an important part of this role will be to establish and develop a children’s choir, giving our young parishioners an opportunity to actively participate in the musical and spiritual life of the parish.
We have already begun interviewing candidates and are greatly encouraged by the quality and enthusiasm of those interested in serving our community. With patience, discernment, and faith, we continue moving forward, confident that we will find a Music Director who embodies the Catholic and community spirit that defines Christ the King Parish.
