Parish Help During COVID-19

Dear Parishioners,

A group of parishioners met with Fr. Matt and me earlier to discuss ways that our parish can help meet your needs during this time of crisis. The result of this conversation was to focus on the following categories:

Surface names of parishioners who are in need of enough food to last for the recommended time period of self-isolation.
These parishioners may not have the necessary resources and/or ability to go shopping themselves. We cannot make any guarantees, but our St. Vincent DePaul Society will do their best to accommodate all requests. We need your help in identifying who these parishioners might be.

Surface names of parishioners who would benefit from a phone call, card, or other expressions of care.
We are looking for the names of parishioners who may be socially isolated by a period of self-quarantine. The elderly, and people with compromised immune systems, should be particularly careful to avoid face to face interactions. With this in mind, we will do our best to stay connected with people living on their own.

Commit ourselves to offering tips, resources, and helpful suggestions for families who now suddenly have their children home for a minimum of two weeks.
Our goal is to develop a list of resources for families. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Our team of volunteers will help to coordinate these suggestions in such a way to be helpful and not burdensome.

Surface the names of parishioners who would be willing to help us achieve the above stated goals.
The days and weeks ahead will likely be difficult before a sense of routine kicks in. If you would like to be added to our list of volunteers, please let me know.

It is important for us to get the names of people who are in immediate need of food by noon tomorrow.

Please know that you are all in our prayers.

God Bless,

Fr. Larry, Fr. Matt and The Response Team
