Sacraments
The Catholic Church recognizes seven sacraments that make us holy, build up the body of Christ, and show us how to worship to God.
The Rite of Catholic Initiation for Adults (RCIA) includes the first three sacraments.
In addition to the sacraments, the Rite of Christian Burial allows the Church to honor the dead, request spiritual assistance for them, and comfort the living. This rite also reminds us as Catholics that we can always turn to God at times of great difficulty and sorrow.
