Becoming Catholic

RCIA

If you are interested in learning more about becoming a Catholic, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program is right for you. The program can be tailored specifically to meet your needs. The length and content are based upon the candidate’s knowledge of the Catholic faith. The material covers Sacred Scripture, Church Doctrine, forms of prayer, Church history, Liturgy, and the Sacraments.

The RCIA program at Christ the King is designed for people choosing to enter the Catholic faith as well as any interested parties simply exploring the possibility of joining the faith. Please contact our liaison for RCIA, Joan O'Connor here for more information.

Returning Catholics

We live in difficult times, with our society moving in a secular direction. Many people view organized religion with skepticism. To be clear, the leadership of the Catholic Church has admittedly lost a great deal of its moral authority in choosing its reputation over the welfare of some of God’s most vulnerable children. However, our faith is not based upon hierarchy, structures, or rules. It is based on a relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

If you were baptized as a Catholic and, for any number of reasons, found yourself drifting away from the Church, we invite you to explore the key elements of our faith with us. Our welcoming community is a place where God’s love is experienced in word and action, every single day Please send Fr. Larry Sullivan an email below, and he will contact you to begin a conversation about living our faith as disciples of Christ.
